New Family Session in Minneapolis, Minnesota | A Preview of a Playful, Documentary In-Home Newborn Photography Session
Our off-call birth photography is a special package that can make birth photography more accessible to families. In this package, we don’t guarantee our ability to attend- but if we’re unable to, we offer a New Family Photography session as a replacement. That way, even if timing doesn’t work out, families still get this precious time documented.
This family originally hired us for our off-call birth photography package. Birth circumstances changed when labor started, and instead of the home birth they planned on (with the incredible team, Twin Cities Midwifery), babe needed to be born via cesarean. In cesarean births, usually the maximum support persons allowed in the OR is partner and doula. Having us present for professional birth photography just wasn’t in the cards for the way their son needed to be born since they had a separate doula supporting them.
Within the first couple of weeks postpartum, I got to join them in their home and photograph all the silliness, love and details of their new family. The entire time was just pure bliss- getting to know little pieces of their personalities and documenting their authentic love for each other.
