When I think back to this birth and these photographs, I’m reminded of Ashley + Jesse’s gentle confidence throughout the entire process.
Not confidence, because they’ve previously navigated all the twists and turns their pregnancy, birth, and parenthood entailed.
Confidence from being grounded in the safety of each other.
Through the developing relationships with the skilled medical teams.
Through equipping themselves with doula support (one who happened to be a NICU nurse for 10 years).
Through educating themselves every step of the way to keep Ashley and their baby safe.
These two are an incredible team and even better parents to their sweet Eloise.
