An Intimate, Authentic, In-Home New Family/Real Postpartum Session in St. Paul, Minnesota in Photographs
No matter the role (and I wear many- photographer, doula, lactation consultant, nurse), my primary focus is building a connection with you and your family.
All else flows as it should when a genuine relationship is the foundation.
I got to know this family first as their birth doula and photographer. I love the immersive feeling of getting to know a family in the safety of their own space, with the people (and fur babies) they love most.
When I say, I want to hear about all the interests of your bigs while petting your beloved senior dog who has curled up next to me on the couch- I mean it. All with previous birth experiences and future hopes and plans interspersed during our prenatal meeting.
When they asked me to come back and take Real Postpartum/ New Family photos- I truly could not wait to be with them all again. Documenting their life as it was (this was already 3 months ago- how?!)- was honestly so dreamy. I can feel it all when I revisit these photos.
