Born at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, in Edina, Minnesota | A Twin Cesarean Birth | IVF Birth Story

“In 2021 we were finally in a good enough place to add a baby to our little family, but while figuring out some health concerns for Mary, we discovered she was in premature menopause from a chromosomal abnormality making the use of her eggs impossible. A local clinic told us to set aside $25k-$35k for treatment, which was a huge amount for a blue collar family like ours. While looking into how in the world we could afford that, we found that it would be much cheaper to travel to a clinic in Prague. After three failed transfers and a hysteroscopy to remove a polyp, we were ready to move on to trying the next thing, but we had a guarantee program that we were determined to finish. We decided we would transfer our last two embryos before our guarantee kicked in, hoping at least one of them would stick. To our surprise, both embryos stuck and our two boys were born at 36 weeks weighing about four and a half pounds each. We knew before we even started trying that we wanted photos and video of their birth and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
