Meet Gina Dolski

she/her

birth support professional (doula), childbirth educator, lactation specialist, infant sleep educator, photographer

First things first, I’m a mom. I love birth work, but I always tell my kids, “Being your mom is my favorite job.” It’s true! If you’re here, you’re likely on the edge of becoming a parent or watching your family grow more, so welcome! You’re going to love the job of parenthood.

I live in a 1920’s two-story in West St. Paul with my husband Jordan and our two children Tess and Milosz (Milo for short.)

Music is a huge part of my life (I curated a record collection for my son’s birth). I consider myself a musician at heart, regularly singing for my family and playing one of the ten instruments in our home. At home we may be spinning anything from Anderson.Paak, to Tom Petty, or Joanna Newsom.

If I’m not at a birth or teaching, you can find me outside in our food gardens, hiking, cooking from scratch, or attending yet another workshop or training.

Professionally, my focus has grown as I’ve worked with families. I am most passionate about being in the classroom, birth space and supporting families with lactation and sleep. As a queer woman, I’m also deeply focused on continuing my work ensuring my support is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and rooted in anti-racism.

You’ve come so far, so here are my professional credentials:

  • Bachelors in Communication and Journalism (Photojournalism) from the University of St. Thomas

  • Birth Doula training DONA International

  • Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator

  • Certified Lactation Educator Counselor from Bebo.Mia

  • Certified Infant Sleep Educator from Bebo.Mia

  • Certified Eco Parenting Educator from Bebo.Mia

  • Hypnobabies Hypnodoula training

  • Spinning Babies training

  • Placenta encapsulation training through Blooma

  • Prenatal yoga training through Mamata Yoga

I would like to acknowledge several of my training organizations are organizations I no longer support, because of their inability to continue working on abolishing systems of white supremacy. I plan to continue my education with other organizations and divest my money from DONA international, Spinning Babies and Bebo.Mia.
